Creation of new mountain bike trails in Southeastern Wisconsin. Trails improve quality of life for residents and create a more healthy population. And, let's be honest, mountain biking is fun and the more trails to ride, the better. The future of trail building depends on professional design and building and that requires we have a large group of members. New trails are no longer developed by a few people slinging dirt on the weekends.
Maintenance and improvement of existing trails. Tools, equipment rental, and adding in features takes funding and volunteer power.
Events! Metro hosts social rides and events throughout the year. Racing is expected to return in 2020. Find great people to ride with!
The more members we have, the more pull we have with government entities that manage public lands we currently ride on or could be future locations for trails. Think of the attention given to an organization with > 1000 members vs ~100. Your voice for more trails is amplified.
Skills. To make a successful trail advocacy organization, it takes all kinds of people to help with volunteer roles. If you're a member, there may be ways you can help bring projects and fundraising to fruition.
We have many various membership levels to match your willingness to help move Southeastern Wisconsin mountain biking forward.
